1. In the last couple of years the following artists have recorded songs in the Irish language:
Paddy Casey, Declan O'Rourke, Mundy, Bell X1, The Frames, The Corrs, Damien Dempsey, Delorentos,
The Waterboys, The Walls, The Coronas, Christy Moore, Jack L, Duke Sprcial, Cathy Davy,  Gavin Glass, Sting, Picturehouse, Gemma Hayes, Kíla, Sinéad O’Connor, Kate Bush, The Devlins agus Luka Bloom. 
 
2. 1.57 million people in Ireland can speak Irish. 538,283 speak it every day.
  
3. There is at least one Gaelscoil (Irish-medium primary schools) in every county in Ireland. In Dublin at present there are 30 irish medium primary schools and 8 post primary schools. www.gaeilscoileanna.ie 
 
4. Irish language spell check, gaelspell, is available for free on www.gaelspell.com  
 
5. Irish langauge versions of the following applications are available: Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Thunderbird, Open Office, Microsoft Windows XP.  
 
6. There is an Irish language version of Wikipedia available, Vicipéid, with over 7,000 articles. 
 
7. Irish can be heard on the following radio stations :
RTÉ, 2FM, Newstalk, Spin FM, Phantom FM, Today FM, Q102, Raidió na Life.

10. You can get your Gas, ESB, Vodafone and Eircom bills in Irish and you can renew your motortax in irish on www.motarchain.ie
 
11. Raidió Rí-Rá www.raidiorira.ie launched in 2008. The first irish langauge pop radio station broadcasting 24 hours a day.
 
12. Google is available in Irish www.google.ie/intl/ga 
 
13. In 2008 Samsung launched its Tocco phone. The first mobile phone to have Irish language menus and predictive text available in Irish. Samsung plan to have these features as part of its future phones.  
 
14. Facebook is available in Irish.
